A record of the work carried out by the Gobions Woodland Trust's work parties.
Following complaints about the state of the road leading to the Council Car Park, we have erected warning notices at either end. Rather a hot day, but it helped the concrete set quickly!
Due to the weather, everything seems to be growing quickly. So the last 3 weeks have been spent mowing and clearing the paths so that visitors can get around the woods more easily.
We have spent the last couple of months erecting fencing around the Western Leach Fields. These will soon contain sheep, which will keep the pasture grased. This will save us from having a farmer in to cut the hay once or twice each year, and will allow a more natural pattern of grazing on the Leach Fields.
