The boardwalk handrail was completed with a coat of paint. All that is left now is to put some chicken wire in place to make the footing safer. A fence has been erected to encourage dogs (and their owners) to take the correct path, and not trample the bluebells.

Today, despite the weather, we managed to add the handrail to the boardwalk in the middle of the woods (by the lagoons). Next week we hope to add the finishing touches with some paint.

Hope you all enjoy not having to wade through mud any longer in that spot.

New Trees

This week we replaced the trees in the Millennium Avenue which had suffered from the unusual weather this year. We now have new oaks and hollies planted there.

Did anyone see two youths on a "track style" motorbike on Sunday. They were travelling west from the fishing lakes towards Bluebridge Avenue.?If anyone managed to get their number or has any information, please contact me on 01707 274494 or at gobions_woodland_trust@hotmail.com

I have been away for a few weeks, but the volunteers have been busy with more path clearance and laying crushed concrete.

We have had a problem area near the bridge over the main lagoons. The footpath there remains wet regardless of what we have done in terms of drainiage and path laying.

So for the last two weeks we have laid a boardwalk and levelled up the path on either side. We hope you will find it easier to walk there now.
